Drink (Or Not) and Draw - November
If you’re an artist looking for an event to make friends, find collaborators, discover a community to be a part of, or just somewhere to share your work, you're invited to join our crew.
While this is a community centered around goofy and interesting prompts, you are not required to draw what the group is working on — please feel free to bring your own projects that you are working on, and share a space with supportive new friends.

Some basic materials will be supplied (pencils, markers and paper) but you are encouraged to bring anything else you may need. This is a BYOB event so you are also free to bring your own alcohol and enjoy a night of laughs, art and friendship.

Beyond the Supreme Court: How Appellate & Lower Courts Shape Justice
Judges don’t just decide cases—they influence the fairness of elections, the safety of our communities, and the strength of our democracy. As Pennsylvanians prepare for 2025’s judicial elections, knowing how to navigate these races is essential.
In Part Two of Navigating Pennsylvania’s 2025 Judicial Elections, C70’s Andrew McGinley and Tanisha Bezue will turn the spotlight on Pennsylvania’s appellate and lower courts. They’ll break down the judicial retention process and share how voters can cut through the noise to make confident, informed choices.
Together, they’ll explore:
The impact of appellate and lower courts on Pennsylvania’s justice system.
What retention elections mean and how they work.
Trusted, nonpartisan resources to guide your vote.
They’ll also reflect on key takeaways from our recent event - Candidate Forum: Judges for Pennsylvania Commonwealth & Superior Court - giving you context straight from the candidates and justices themselves.
Each part of this webinar series aims to leave you with a deeper understanding of Pennsylvania’s courts and the power voters hold in shaping their future.

Join or Die Film Screening
Join us for a FREE screening of Join or Die, a film about why you should join a club—and why the fate of America depends on it. In this feature documentary, follow the half-century story of America's civic unraveling through the journey of legendary social scientist Robert Putnam, whose groundbreaking "Bowling Alone" research into America's decades-long decline in community connections could hold the answers to our democracy's present crisis.
Flanked by influential fans and scholars — from Hillary Clinton, Pete Buttigieg, and Surgeon General Vivek Murthy to Eddie Glaude Jr., Raj Chetty, and Priya Parker — as well as inspiring groups building community in neighborhoods across the country, join Bob as he explores three urgent civic questions: What makes democracy work? Why is American democracy in crisis? And, most importantly… What can we do about it?
Stick around for a post-film discussion and presentation from some local clubs you can join right now.

Pet Sematary at The Hiway Theater
We have partnered with our friends from The Hiway Theater to present this F-Rated Horror classic on the big screen on 35MM!! A pitch-perfect and truly unsettling adaptation of the Stephen King novel, PET SEMATARY tells the story of a grieving father who, after tragedy strikes, discovers a burial site in his backyard that can bring the dead back to life. The only caveat is that whoever goes into the ground doesn’t come back the same. Director Mary Lambert, known for her groundbreaking music video work with Madonna and Janet Jackson, brings a stylish and slightly campy take to King’s horrific meditation on grief. Rated R. We plan to gather before the film for drinks and activities at Human Robot Brewery at 8PM with out friends MovieJawn and Capricorn Books, and then head next door to the theater at 9:30 to get our seats, visit Soft Belly Cookies to snag some sweet treats before the flick, watch Mary Lambert's iconic music videos, intros and giveaways, and our feature film.
