We are looking for compassionate, mature and dedicated individuals who want to make a difference in a hands-on way for children with cancer. Not only do the counselors love facilitating the best week of the summer for the campers, but they also love the community of all the camp volunteers and take away just as much joy as the campers. Members of YIP are concerned citizens with a bend towards giving back to the community—exactly the type of person who would make a great role model for our campers.

Counselor Details

• Ages 20+

• Available for the full camp week of August 16–22, 2026 (counselors arrive August 15)

• Application deadline: May 1

• Mature, committed, creative, positive role model, engaging, fun, comfortable in the outdoor setting

• Looking to make a difference for a child with cancer, while also experiencing a deeply meaningful week for themselves
