YiP is run by a volunteer board of young Philadelphians who plan our programs, set our policy agenda and keep the organization strong.
Who Should Apply?
Philadelphians in their 18-35 ish who care about civic life in the city
People with skills in event planning, communications, fundraising, finance, policy or operations, or the drive to learn
First-time board members welcome; Board Prep alumni encouraged to apply
Candidates from every neighborhood, background and sector
What Do Board Members Do?
Attend board meetings monthly and serve a three year term
Serve on at least one committee: Programming, Policy, Communications, Board Prep or Finance Help plan and staff signature events like State of Young Philadelphia
Meet a personal give/get of $250 annually and champion YiP in your networks
